Michael Porter Discusses the Evolution of Chebeague’s Road System
On Monday, July 27, CIHS Board member Michael Porter will deliver the second presentation in the 2026 Ellsworth Miller Summer Lecture Series. Michael’s talk, titled ‘Country Roads, or The Ballad of East and West,’ will begin at 7 pm at the Island Community Hall. Topics include the development of Chebeague’s road system over the years and how it was influenced by where people lived, concluding with Q and A, and discussion amongst attendees. As usual, CIHS will provide refreshments, giving us a moment to celebrate our roots, as well as Chebeague routes, and to reflect on how these ties influence our time on Chebeague.
