About Us
The Chebeague Island Historical Society
The Historical Society began in 1984 with the idea to preserve island artifacts for future generations. More than 30 people joined together to found the Society and to make it what it is today.
Through the years the Society has acquired numerous artifacts, pictures, and documents. All these items have found a home in the old district 9 schoolhouse which was renovated to become the museum.
